Water Lilies

Shanghai | Water Lilies | © DM Barlow (2017)

Inspired by Monet’s impressionistic paintings, this series of experimental photographs features water lilies in a lake in the countryside, several miles from downtown Shanghai. There was no Photoshop manipulation of the images – all processing was done in Camera Raw, and the rich red tones were achieved by shooting at dusk and using a Manual White Balance setting that is closer to Shade than Auto.  This is the first photograph in the series, and I shall post more of them later and on my associate blog (which features photographs without any words at all): onlypix.wordpress.com
