It was a dark and stormy night in Shanghai. Very dark and soon to be very stormy. This wonderful, hidden lane at the back of a 1930s Seventh Day Adventist Church (the red wall on the left) is still recognizable as a church, at least architecturally, although the pink lights of a dubious one-hour hotel now shine through the arched and Lunette windows. When I enquired at the front desk if I could see a room, I was politely asked to leave.
Two 17-mm tilt-shift images, each one 63 seconds in exposure duration. I combined the images in Photoshop, enhanced Shadow in Camera Raw, as well as Saturation.
