Amber Dawn

“A cheap hotel room in a poor part of town … the dawn light filters through dusty golden curtains …”

During the day and at night, the curtains are dirty and depressing, but for half an hour – at dawn – they are transformed into things of great beauty. What follows is a series of abstract, textured images, all photographed with a 90mm tilt-shift lens. No editing, other than switching White Balance from Auto to Shade in Camera Raw. The prints are currently on display in a coffee shop in Shanghai.”
